formula for finding the area of a parallelogram is base × altitude
given dimensions of the parallelogram is 8cm and 6cm. AB = DC = 8cm and AD = BC = 6cm
now altitude corresponding to DC is given = 4cm
so area of the parallelogram taking base as DC = 8 × 4
= 32cm²
now taking AD as base :-
=> 6 × altitude = 32cm²
=> altitude = 32/6
=> altitude = 5.33cm (approximately)
hence the altitude corresponding to AD is 5.33cm.

Step-by-step explanation:
Area of Parallelo gram = AB * AE
= 8 * 4 = 32 cm²
or Area = AD * AF
AF is altitude corresponding to AD
AD * AF = 32
6 * AF = 32
AF = 32/6
AF = 16/3
AF = 5.333 cm
