Answer:

50m/s

Explanation:

We know ,

Distance travelled in nth second of uniformly accelerated motion

= Sn=u+a/2(2n-1), where u is initial velocity and a is the uniform acceleration of body.

In this case sum of distances travelled in nth and (n+1) th second is 100m.

i.e, Sn +Sn+1= 100

Hence, distance travelled in n th second= Sn= u+a/2(2n-1).

And distance travelled in (n+1)th second = Sn+1= u+a/2(2n+1).

We know,

Sn+Sn+1=100

Or, u+a/2(2n-1) + u+a/2(2n+1)= 100

Or u+an-a/2+u+an+a/2=100

Or, 2u+2an=100

Or,u+an =50.

According to first equation of motion,

v= u+at( here a=t)

So velocity after n seconds is 50m/s.
