Let ABC is a right angled triangle at B

Base=BC=6cm

HypotenuseAC=10cm

Using Pythagoras theorem,

AC²=AB²+BC²

AB²=AC² −BC²

=10 ²−6²

=100−36

AB= √64

=8cm

Altitude=AB=8 cm

Now , Area of triangle = 1/2×base×altitude

= 1/2×6×8

=24cm ²
