Every day, people self-consciously apply truth to a certain extent in mathematics, arts and ethics. However, it is by nature that every person will view them from different perceptions. As humans, we need to use the element of truth, whether it is proven as a theory or not. Through the essay, I will analyze what truth is and to what extent it applies to mathematics, art and ethics? It is true that all of the three areas of knowledge have truth? And to what degree?

When I say something is true to me then it will definitely apply to everyone. For Example an agreed formula is, 1+1=2 but what if I don't want to believe that 2 is the correct answer, does that make the answer less true? If a person is taught that 9+1= 11 would that make the equation and answer less true just because people believe that the answer is true? The concept of truth can be interpreted in two ways: Absolute truth and relative truth. Absolute truth illustrates what a person really see's. For example, if I was sitting in a living room then I am either staring at a television or I am just staring at the wall, the living room either has or doesn't have a window. So basically there are two options for truth, if the object exists or if it does not exist. Secondly relative truth looks at a point from a different perspective. If I was in the same living room but the couch was situated in a position that does not view the television then I assume and believe that there is no television simply because my perception of sight does not pick up a object looking like a television, I would know how a television looks like from past experiences and evaluating the object.
