i have observed the most of the student in my class are only worried about marks and do not think about acquiring knowledge .parents are also satisfied as l
ong as their children are scoring good marks in their report card . you feel this is encouraging rote learning

This thought can lead a student to think more of marks however we can solve this problem by laying stress on his knowledge.The best way would be to give examples of some great personalities like thomas adison and albert einstein who were not good at their studies but later they came to be famous scientist.
Parents also should be taught to give more importance to knowledge than to marks which will surely improve a student knowledge.
