CBSE BOARD X, asked by Kshitij2312, 10 months ago

I have read on Quora that the examiner doesn't give ANY marks when both optional questions are attempted because doing so is considered a malpractice. Please elaborate and explain. If you have done the same, what happened with your paper?

Answer:

yes thats true

Explanation:

i had asked my teacher who was an examiner the previous year and she told me to not even think of doing it as i will not get any marks on the answer if i give two answers for a question......better if you give one......all the best though for your boards:)

Answer:

Many teachers in our school told us that if you have doubt in both the given choices, you can attempt both. The examiner will give you the marks for that question which will be most appropriate. But at the same time they warned us not to to do this in all the questions as the examiner might get upset and deduct your marks even if the answer is correct.

I have not tried it myself but I know many students who did this in their board exams and got marks. There is very liberal checking in boards, so the examiner might award some marks even if both the questions in the choice are attempted.
