You spent Rs 50 and last balance is 0  

Total Spend + Balance = 50 + 0  = Rs 50  ( initial Amount)

we never added balance

at any stage  :   total Spend + balance   should be equal to initial Amount  

(20 )+ 30 = 50    

(20 + 15) + 15  = 50

(20 + 15 + 9) + 6 = 50

(20 + 15 + 9 + 6)  + 0 = 50

There is no meaning of adding balance
