100 10 paise coins
100 20 paise coin
100 *10 = 1000
100*20= 2000
2000+1000=3000
3000 = 300 rs

There are coins of 1000 coins of both 10 paise and 20 paise.

Given - Type of coins and total amount

Find - Number of each type of coins

Solution - Firstly converting the value of coins to rupees from paise. So, as per the known fact, 1 rupee is equal to 100 paisa. Using this relation to convert value of coins into rupees.

20 paise coins -

Value =  \frac{1 \times 20}{100}

Performing Division and cancelling common zero

Value = 0.2 Rupee

10 paise coins -

Value =  \frac{1 \times 10}{100}

Performing Division and cancelling common zero

Value = 0.1 Rupee

Now, let the number of 20 paise coins be x. So, the number of 10 paise coins will also be x. Forming the equation -

0.2x + 0.1x = 300

Performing addition

0.3x = 300

Shifting 0.3 to Right Hand Side

x =  \frac{300}{0.3}

Shifting decimal to numerator

x =  \frac{3000}{3}

Performing division

x = 1000

Thus, there are 1000 coins of both 10 paise and 20 paise.
