I have some 5 - rupee coins and
some 2 - rupee coins. The no. of
2 rupee coins is 4 times that of
5 rupee coins. If I have rupees 117 in all, find the no.
of coins in each denominations

Answer:

Let the no of 5 rs coin be x

So the no of 2 rs coin is 4x

According to question,

5x + 8x = 117

13x = 117

X=9

No. of rs.5 coins = 9

No. of rs.2 coins = 36
