[Active voice ]

I have sown mustard in the bed.

[Passive voice]

Mustard has been sown by me in the bed.

How did we identify?

We have identify it on the basis of subject and object. Subject is the main to up the action and object is the receiver of the action. Here the subject is ( I ) which is me ; and object is ( Mustard ) .

We know that when the subject is towards the beginning of the sentence it is an active voice and if it is in the ending of the sentence it is passive voice. Here the subject is towards the beginning hence , is in active voice.

How do we change the voice ??

  • Identify the subject and object

  • Interchange their places

  • Add or remove the preposition by before the newly replaced subject.

  • Dont change the tense.
