hi my dear friend,
Just look at the main parts or your notes. Thats what i do.
Thank You~
Wishing you all the best for your exams
You need to follow the entire routine mentioned below to be able to revise faster and more number of times (sums up as more efficiently)before exams.
Always sort out important topics before reading any text. This can be done either by getting these topics marked by some senior/teacher, or by referring to previous question papers to sorry out which are the most reverting topics and in what form there asked.
You already know what to revise while revising.
2. While preparing always write answers either in flowcharts, or in points with suitable headings n sub-headings and underlining/highlighting.
Writing has benefit of deeper and longer lasting memory. Chances are that you'll be able to write something in exam, even if you missed revising that topic.
3. Make a sperate copy of important points/diagrams/charts/tables etc, and revise them as often as you possibly can, esp immediately as you start studying (30-60 min Max) & just before going to bed, while traveling or doing any other mundane cores. These are known as fillers/fetchers. Put them in answers, even when not specifically asked and remove the corresponding theory or prose from an answer.
Benefits:
Improve the memory and reproducibility.
Decrease the time to write an answer.
Greatly heighten the aesthetic value of your answer, thus fetching more marks.
4. While preparing time table, always keep aside some fixed time for revision.
Important points mentioned in point 3 are too be revised aoap.
Previous days work is to be revised the very next day, say just when you start studying (choose between this or point 3)
Revise more than once before exam and make time table to include multiple revisions. Subsequent I.e 2nd/3rd revisions take even lesser time.
Edit: one thing I forgot (reminded by other answers, honestly) is the importance of Acronyms & Mnemonics. These in building up memory and reproducibility. Memorise the ultra important portions by either using pre-formed ones or devise your own set of acronyms/mnemonics.And then these are to be revised daily and aoap.
Last but not the least, devote as much time to study as possible.
Happy studying (read revising) and scoring.
