I have to write an article on River Pollution.
Please check out this introduction and tell me if it is good.

A beautiful river, in a peaceful surrounding, with crystal clear water flowing, the perfect place to relax and unwind : this is the scene that comes to the mind when one hears the word river. On the contrary, most riverbanks are far from peaceful and are overly crowded and dirty, with most of the industrial and domestic waste being thrown into them.
