Answer:

1) increase in population is 21246

2)increase in bat price is 36 reupees

Given:-

  • increase in population = 5%
  • last year population = 20320

To find:-

  • present population of the town

Solution:-

Here,

as we can see

increase % is given in quetion

we will solve it for current population

as \: we \: know \\ \\ increase \% = \frac{increase \: in \: population}{last \: year \: population} \\ \\ 5\% = \frac{incease \: in \: population}{20320} \\ \\ increasein \: population = \frac{5 \times 20320}{100} \\ \\ increase \: in \: population = 1016 \\ \\ so \: current \: population \: of \: town \: \: is \\ \\ 20230 + 1016 \\ \\ 21246

increase in population is 21246

now for 2nd quetion

Given:-

  • price of bat = 650
  • increase % = 6%

To find :-

  • increase price of a bat

Solution:-

here ,

we will solve this throgh same method as above

increas \: value\% = \frac{increase \: in \: value}{orignal \: value} \\ \\ 6\% = \frac{increase \: in \: value}{650} \\ \\ \frac{6}{100} = \frac{increase \: in \: value}{650} \\ \\ increase \: in \: value = \frac{6 \times 650}{100 } \\ \\ increase \: in \: value \: = 39

so,

increase in bat price is 36 reupees...
