Probability of 2dices which will show numbers less than 5 = 2/3

Explanation:

2dice contain (6+6)=12 outcomes

Out of it (4+4)=8 outcomes are less than 5

So, probability =8/12 =2/3

Answer:

● The Probability of getting

numbers less than 5 on both of

the dices is 2/3.

Step-by-step explanation:

☆ Total number of outcomes of one dice.

= 6 (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5 & 6).

☆ Total number of outcomes of two dices

= 2 × 6.

= 12.

☆ Favorable number of outcomes of one

dice which will show numbers less

than 5.

= 4 (i.e. 1,2,3 & 4).

☆ Favorable number of outcomes of two

dices which will show numbers less

than 5.

= 2 × 4.

= 8.

☆ Probability :-

Favourable number of outcomes /

Total numbers of outcomes.

☆ Probability of getting numbers

less than 5 on both of the dices :-

Favourable number of outcomes /

Total number of outcomes.

= 8/12.

= 2/3.

Hence, the Probability of getting

numbers less than 5 on both of the

dices is 2/3.
