Hello!

Here is the answer for your question!

Question:- State which of the following situations are possible and give an example for each of these.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:-

i ) An object with a constant acceleration but with zero velocity.

  • The given situation is possible.
  • An example for the this situation would be throwing an object upwards, as the object reaches the maximum height its velocity becomes zero but the acceleration due to gravity is still affecting the body.

ii ) An object moving in a certain direction with an acceleration in perpendicular direction.

  • The given situation is possible.
  • An example for this scenario would be an object in circular motion, when an object is in circular motion its movement is along the tangent of circle but its acceleration is towards the circles radius which is perpendicular to its path of motion.
