magnetic field lines of earth originates and terminates at the position of poles at the geographic south position the magnetic field lines originates and at geographic north position the magnetic field lines terminates

These magnetic field lines always originate or terminate perpendicular to the earth surface.

Angle of dip is defined as the angle of net magnetic field with the horizontal

So here when we are at poles the magnetic field lines are perpendicular so angle of dip is 90 degree while at the equatorial position the magnetic field lines are parallel to the earth surface and its angle with the horizontal will be ZERO degree.

So the angle of dip will change from 90 degree to 0 degree as we move from pole to equatorial position.
