(i) How will the magnetic field around a current carrying straight conductor be affected on : (a) increasing the current through the conductor ? (b) changing the direction of flow of current in the conductor ? (ii) Describe an activity with diagram to draw magnetic field lines due to a current carrying circular loop.

(iii) State the rule used to find the direction of magnetic field due to a current carrying circular loop.

Answer:

Explanation:

But remember in second part that opposite of right hand thumb rule is used it states that if your fingure points in the direction of current then the direction in which your thumb points will be direction of magnetic field

Students always get confuse in this so just remember that in circuler loop as well as solenoid the above statement works and that for straight conductor that simple rule works

Hope you understood

Answer:

i)  a) On increasing the current through the conductor the magnetic feild                          increases.
b) On changing the direction of current the direction of magnetic feild changes.
ii) Shown in the figure attatched.
iii) The rule used is Maxwell's Right Hand Thumb Rule

Explanation:

The magnetic feild that generates aroung the straight conductor depends directly on the flow of current in the conductor so as the flow of current increases the magnetic feild increases. On changing the direction of current the magnetic feild also changes its direction which is also proved by flemings right hand thumb rule. The thumb points towards the flow of current and the curled fingers shows the direction of magnetic feild.
