(i) If x=3 is a solution of the equation
2x^2-5x+k=0, find the value of k
(ii) Hence, find the other solution of the equation.​

2x²-5x+k=0

2(3) ²-5(3) +k=0

2(9) -15+k=0

18-15+k=0

3+k=0

k=-3

therefore the other equation will be

2x²-5x-3=0

=2x²-6x+x-3=0...... (factorization)

=2x(x-3) +1(x-3) =0

=(2x+1) (x-3) =0

=2x+1=0 or x-3=0

2x=-1 x=3

x= - 1 or x=3

x=3 2
