Answer:

  • 1) Cost price of watch = 540
  • selling price of watch = 585
  • Here sp is greater than cp ,hence profit
  • Profit = Sp - Cp = 585- 540 = 45rupees
  • profit percentange = Profit * 100 / cp
  • 45 * 100 / 540 = 8.33%

2)

  • 2) Marked Price = Discount - selling price
  • let marked price be x
  • given discount = 9% of x
  • Marked price - Discount = Sp
  • = x - 9% of x = 728
  • = x - 9x/100 = 728
  • = 100x - 9x = 728
  • 100
  • 91x = 728 * 100
  • x = 728*100/91
  • x = 800
  • Marked price = 800

3)

  • Given number = 23
  • Reversing = 32
  • Sum = 23 + 32 = 55
  • a) 55/11 = 5
  • b) 55/55=1

4)686 = 2*7*7*7

  • Since 2 is left out .. divife 686 with 2
  • 686/2 = 343
  • Cube root of 343 = 7³
