Given :-

  • Total Distance travelled by a bus is 800 m
  • Total time taken by that bus to cover this distance is 40 seconds

To Find :-

  • Speed of that bus

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given the total distance travelled by a bus and total time taken by that bus to cover the distance. We can easily find the speed of the bus applying the formula of speed.

As we know that ,

{\underline{\boxed{\sf{ \star \;\; Speed = \dfrac{Total\;Distance\;Covered}{Total\;time\;taken }}}}

Finding the speed :-

\sf \implies Speed = \dfrac{800\;m}{40\;s}

\sf \implies Speed = 20\;m/s

Therefore ,

  • Speed of that bus is 20 m/s

More :-

\sf \star \;\; Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}

\sf \star \;\; Distance = Time \times Speed

\sf \star \;\; Time = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed}

Answer:

Given :-

Total Distance travelled by a bus is 800 m

Total time taken by that bus to cover this distance is 40 seconds

To Find :-

Speed of that bus

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given the total distance travelled by a bus and total time taken by that bus to cover the distance. We can easily find the speed of the bus applying the formula of speed.

As we know that ,

{\underline{\boxed{\sf{ \star \;\; Speed = \dfrac{Total\;Distance\;Covered}{Total\;time\;taken }}}}

Finding the speed :-

\sf \implies Speed = \dfrac{800\;m}{40\;s}⟹Speed=

40s

800m

\sf \implies Speed = 20\;m/s⟹Speed=20m/s

Therefore ,

Speed of that bus is 20 m/s

More :-

\sf \star \;\; Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}⋆Speed=

Time

Distance

\sf \star \;\; Distance = Time \times Speed⋆Distance=Time×Speed

\sf \star \;\; Time = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed}⋆Time=
