Answer:-

(a) 0.01 mole is there in 1.11g of Calcium

Chloride.

(b) 2.5×10⁶ moles are there in 1.5×10³⁰

molecules of Ammonia.

Explanation:-

For 1.11g of Calcium Chloride :-

• Molar mass of Calcium (Ca) = 40g/mol

• Molar mass of Chlorine (Cl) = 35.5g/mol

Hence, molar mass of CaCl2 :-

= 40 + 35.5×2

= 40 + 71

= 111g/mol

Number of moles :-

= Given Mass/Molar mass

= 1.11/111

= 0.01 mole

For 1.5×10³ molecules of Ammonia :-

• Avogadro Number = 6.022×10²³

Number of moles :-

= No of molecules/Avogadro Number

= 1.5×10³⁰/6.022×10²³

= 0.25×10⁷

= 2.5×10⁶ molecules
