I’m young, and I don’t know much about life, and honestly, I have not lived enough to have a clue about what I’m doing. Some will call it “winging it,” but I’ll say I’m improvising in this crazy journey called life, but, who isn’t? The fact that we don’t know exactly what we’re doing gives us this impending sense of fear towards actually living. Think about this in retrospective to your life, how many times have you stopped living just because you’re scared? For me, this is something that affects me every day.
Mandela was a wise man, he lived a difficult life, but he managed to rise above all the bad that seemed to haunt him. I connect with Mandela in many ways. But don’t get me wrong, we’re nothing alike. This quote might have been directed towards the house of Congress in 1989 but I feel like someone is saying it to me every time I let fear win over me. Most of the time we feel like we’re so different from everyone just because we don’ have things in common, but we’re wrong. I’ll give my example with this Nelson Mandela quote.
