1)Petroleum has taken millions of years to form.Why?

Petroleum was formed over a period of millions of year by the organism who lives in ocean. when these organism died their body settled
in the sea bed and got covered by sand and clay .Over a millions of years , High temperature and high pressure changed the died body in petroleum and natural gases.

petroleum has been formed by decay of dead plants animal or undersea

it is actually a part of crude oil extracted from sea ,ocean

after its extraction it is separate using fractional distillation

most of petroleum is found under land surface in petroleum well therefore all this process of deacy and form takes millions of years

PETROLEUM IS CALLED BLACK GOLD -
IT is because when crude oil is extracted it is black in Color and also oil and petroleum has commercial value so its called Black gold
