thallophyta: plant body is undifferentiated i.e plant body is a thallus. consists of algae. three classes of algae are present mainly on the basis of pigments i.e chlorophyceae, rhodophyceae, phaeophyceae.
bryophyta: plant body is more differentiated than thallophyta. do not possess true leaves, stem and roots but possess root like, stem like and leaf like structure. main plant body is gametophyte. they are of two types i.e. liverwort and moss.
gymnosperms: they consist of seeds that are not covered by fruit. main plant body is sporophytic having root, stem and leaves. they are heterosporous. gametophyte is completely dependant on sporophyte.
angiosperms: seeds are covered by fruits. they are divided into two classes i.e. dicots and monocots. they show double fertilization. pollen grains and ovules are present in the flowers.
