2) After i locked the lock ,i went out to meet my friend at a restaurant.

3) If we have to combine this sentence with when ,we will need to use the simple present tense instead of the past tense used here and remove at a restaurant or put "the restaurant"

- I lock the door when I go to meet my friends. Here the meaning is in "habit" sense. The action has not finished . It may happen tomorrow .
