Question

I'm a Soprano 1 and have to sing a song in Alto key. The song is called Croquet Song from Alice in Wonderland the Musical. Please help! It really hurts my voice!

I'm afraid I most likely can't be of much use, as I am currently marked as an Alto, but I was a Sop. 2/1 last year and I had some trouble hitting the lower notes.  What I would suggest is whenever you warm up, go both high and low.  Push your boundaries, but not too much.  Do this at least once a day, at most two or three.  Don't go too low!  After a while you should be able to hit the lower notes in your song.  I hope it helps!  If it doesn't, try Googling 'sing lower for girls'.  You should be able to utilize a few of the videos! :)
