the microscopic structural and functional unit of the kidney is called nephron.
the human kidney has about four million filtering units is also known as nephron.

it is composed of a renal tubule and a renal corpuscle.

The renal corpuscle consists of a tuft of capillaries is called glomerulus. 

the four-part of nephron are 
1. renal corpuscle.
2. proximal convoluted tubule.
3. thick and thin limbs of Henle.
4. distal convoluted tubule.
