As it is multiple choice , I am giving my answer like this,
1st alarm every 2 hrs and 2nd alarm every 1.5 hrs
They rang lastly at 1 pm .
As one of the timer is at 2 hrs exact it is impossible for the clock to ring again at 5:30 or 7:30.
It has to be 5 or 7 or can be in indetermined (i.e no options.)
Now we check the factors.
2 , 4 , 6 , 8 hrs later 1st alarm rings again
1.5 , 3 , 4.5 , 6 , 7.5 hrs later second alarm rings again.
So as 6 is the common factor.
So the alarms would ring again after 6 hrs
That is at 1 pm + 6 hrs = 7 pm
Hence option 2
7 pm is answer.
