Animals are being chained up outside and left in the hot heat to die and starve to death when in reality, they just want to be loved and cared for. People should be getting the same punishment for murder on humans as they do for murder and abandonment on animals.

Animal cruelty often comes with a history of violence against people. Surveys show that people who intentionally abuse animals are predominantly men under 30, while on the other hand, animal hoarding is more involved with women over the age of 60.
