I am not going to school today , Am I ?

\huge\bold{Explanation}

A Question Tag is a very short clause at the end of a statement which changes the statement into a question.

Examples :

  1. She said half price, didn't she?
  2. You're John, aren't you?
  3. James is working on that, isn't he?
  4. She's been studying a lot recently, hasn't she?
  5. We'd been working, hadn't we?

\huge\bold{Basic\:Rules}

Rule 1 : The sentence and the question tag must be in the same tense.

Rule 2 : For negative question tag, use the Contracted form of 'helping verb' and 'not' .E.g didn't, hadn't, won't, etc.

Rule 3 : If the Sentence is positive, the question tag must be negative and vice versa.
