Balanced diet is a diet containing all the nutrients like carbohydrates protein fat vitamin minerals roughage etc with adequate amount of water.
Balanced diet is vital to have a sound health. Since balanced diet is the only by which we can obtain all the essential nutrients in proper quantities. If we keep on eating one type of food then we will not be able to achieve this.
On the other hand if we keep taking only one nutrient then it can lead to health hazards like too much can lead to obesity.
Similarly neglecting one nutrient can cause deficiency disease like deficiency of iron causes anaemia.
Thus balanced diet plays an imp role in deciding our health status.
