In this story it is shown how a grand daughter (writer of the story) teaches her grandmother to read and write.Her grandmother's affection towards studies and urge and great tendency to learn makes her successful in her aim.The grandmother at the end of the story, flies with wings of success.

So, in the above extract it is shown that the grandmother touches the feet of her teacher not her grand daughter.This is so because it was her grand daughter only who made her literate.
