Herons formula helps you to find out the area of a triangle (mainly) without even using the height of the triangle. It's little bit lengthy than using height and base to find the area.

Heron's formula = whole root of s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

For eg :-

Find the area of a triangular field whose sides are 50 m. 60m. 20m.

Ans) s (semi perimeter) = a + b + c/2
=50 + 60 + 20/2
=130/2
=65.

area = root of 65×(65-50)(65-60)(65-20)
=root of 65×15×5×45
=root of 5×13×3×5×5×5×3×3( factors )
=5×5×3×root of 13×3
therefore the answer is 75 root 39.
