1.i)A globe is a small model of the earth designed to analyse the structure and location of places around the world.

ii) A map is a diagrammatic sheet showing the structure of places.

iii)An atlas is a book of maps.

2)The advantages of globe and maps are:-

i)it make the study of places easier.

ii)it help us to find a way more quickly and easier.

iii)they are portable.

3)Even though globes and maps help us to find the location more quickly,they can not define the location of small places.

4)The various types of maps are political map,topographic map,physical map, climatic map, economic map and road map.

5)The history of map trace back to the time of early civilisation where Mesopotamia and China first start the making of maps.The ancient Greek and Romans also extended the use of maps .

Making of maps were developed in European countries from about 15th to 17th centuries. At that time they were used mainly for war, discovering new paths to make the battle lot more easier.And then they are used in different ways as time changes.
