(i) Name the physical quantity whose S.I. unit is J/C. Is it a vector or scalar quantity? (ii) Draw the electric field lines of point charge Q when (i) Q > 0 (ii) Q < 0 (iii) How much work is done in moving a 500 µ C charge between two points on an equipotential surface?

(i)The physical quantity whose SI unit is J/C is Electric potential. Electric potential is equal to the work done by an external agent in carrying a unit of positive charge from infinity to that point without any acceleration. It is represented by V= w/q. And It is a scalar quantity.

(iii)Workdone is zero....because there is zero potential difference for equipotential surface
