Hindus and Muslims had conflicts even before India's independence. In 1906, Muslim league was launched for which the idea of partition became more common and powerful. Then after India's independence Muhhamad Ali Jinnah wanted to become the prime minister of India but he didn't become because of Jawaharlal Nehru. Then, Muslims said that Indians discriminated them so they partitioned India, West Pakistan and East Pakistan (Bangladesh). After that in Pakistan, people of East Pakistan were being discriminated in various fields like job opportunities, politics, etc. Hence, a conflict started between people of West Pakistan and of East Pakistan. Then in 1971, India's then prime minister Indira Gandhi added more violence to that conflict. Hence, Bangladesh then for separated from Pakistan in 1971.
