We are required to provide a skit and its script on social issues and we shall do it as under:

• Let the characters in the skit be Ram, Shyam, and Shyam's mother
• The script can be as under:

There are two boys Ram and Shyam talking on the road about the reason why roads are laid only when ministers and Prime ministers visit the cities. If not the roads are left with borewells where a lot of accidents happen.

Shyam goes home and has the same conversation with his mother. His mother has just finished watching the news and one of the news articles was about the death of a two-year-old boy who while playing fell into a manhole on the road.

• The skit will be as under:
• Ram: Good afternoon Shyam.
• Shyam: good afternoon.
• Ram: I was just walking home yesterday from school and this road was full of manholes.
• Shyam: Yes, they have done the work during the night because they came to know that the Prime Minister is going to visit.
• Ram: Why is it that the roads are left so carelessly unless someone important comes to visit.
• Shyam: Yes, it is very sad.
• Ram: "Ok see you soon."

Shyam walks home and his mother has just finished closing the TV set.

Shyam narrates the full story of the conversation with Ram to his mother.

Shyam's mother: "Yes, it is very bad. I just the death of a small boy on the TV who fell down the manhole while playing."

Shyam: "Yes, it is awful. I wonder when something will happen about it?"

Sorrowful music as the skit ends.
