I need an advice. When i was little something happened that caused severe trauma. My parents want to send me to therapy and i want to go too. But is it worth it. I'll get put on meds so why go. Why take pills that are going to make me "happy" when they dont work. So is it worth going an how is it going to benefit me.

it depends on your age & the extent upto which your mind is affected by the incident . if you are old enough to control your emotions & keep your mind steady , you can skip the therapy .

but if the trauma is deep in your mind & you are unable to control it , you should go for the therapy . would be better if it is not like staying there for the duration , but taking the therapy while staying with your family .

Answer:

Explanation: pain meds or meds of any type just make you drowsy and get you dependent on them. its not worth it to take those meds until in dire need. but i agree u need to talk to someone cuz talking believe me helps. start a diary if u must. its what i do when i get overwhelmed.

im sorry u had to go through whatever you did......
