Single Citizenship means a person is a citizen of India only and not of the respective states whereas dual citizenship means being a citizen of two or more countries.

Dual citizenship is having citizenship of another country apart from your home country
Single citizenship is having citizenship of only one country.
Some countries allow dual citizenship and some countries won’t. Some countries even allow more than two citizenships, but it’s hard to get naturalization of citizenship at the third country.
