I NEED HELP .....PLEASE

How do we understand if the element is less reactive or more reactive by the valence electrons??

Will be grateful❤

Within each group of metals, reactivity increases as you go down the group. The valence electrons are less tightly bound and easier to remove, because they are farther away from the nucleus of the atom. A nonmetal tends to attract additional valence electrons to attain a full valence shell.

Valence electrons of an atom are those electrons that are involved in chemical bonding. When forming chemical bonds, atoms may lose, gain, or share valence electrons. An element's chemical properties, including its reactivity, depend on how easily its atoms gain, lose, or share valence electrons.

Hope it helps

By it's electropositivity or electronegativity ....if a element loses the valence electrons readily it's more reactive ......and if it gains electron then its less reactive...
