WHAT IS RATIONAL NUMBER?
Those numbers which can be expressed in p/q form is called Rational Number.
And the numbers which cannot be exopressed in p/q form is called irrational number.
All the terminating and repeating decimals can be converted to p/q form so they are rational.
CONVERSION OF REPEATING DECIMAL TO p/q FORM :-
STEP 01 :- First bring the digits under bar to right side of decimal point by multiply accordingly product of 10 here we have to multiply 100 for bringing two digits but if already it is in right side of point then you can skip this step.
STEP 02 :- Now we will bring the bar digits which are equal to x to left side of the decimal point so we will multiply 10000.
STEP 03 :- Subtract eq. 01 from eq.02
Now we let x as given no. and got x also in p/q form that means we converted that repeating decimal to p/q form.
