1) area of shaded region = area of rectangle + area of semicircle = (length×breadth)+π(radius)²/2 = (5×4)+π(2)²/2 = 20+(22×2)/7 = (140+44)/7 = 184/7 2) area in black colour = area of shaded region/2 = 184/(7×2) = 92/7

area of circle=3.14×16=50.24
area of rectangle=5×4=20sq m
area of semicircle=25.12
area of given figure=50.24+20-25.12
=45.12
