2. This is because the height and width of the table are sometimes more than wanted or sometimes less. So CSS gives us the option to change these so that it comes out to be more appealing.

3. Table is used for better understanding of data to the user. So by setting a proper padding one ensures that the table is more appealing and understandable to the user and it also differentiates the content.
