Given:

4 tan A = 1

tan A = 1/4

Perpendicular / Base = k / 4k

Imagine of a right angled triangle having perpendicular of k length, base of 4k length.

So , By Pythagoras theorem

Hypotenuse² = Perpendicular ² + Base²

Hypotenuse² = (k)² + (4k)²

Hypotenuse² = + 16k²

Hypotenuse = 17k²

Hypotenuse = 17 k

So we have ,

Sin A = Perpendicular / Hypotenuse

=> sin A = k / 17 k

=> sin A = 1/17

Cos A = Base / Hypotenuse

=> cos A = 4k/17k

=> cos A = 4/17

Putting value of sin A and cos A in the given question.
