 2.\frac{3x - 5}{2x - 4}  =  \frac{7}{2}

3x - 5 = 7(x - 2)

3x - 5 = 7x - 14

3x - 5 -7x =  - 14

 - 4x \:  - 5 =  - 14

 - 4x \:  =  - 14 + 5

 - 4x =  - 9

x =  \frac{ - 9}{ - 4}

x =  \frac{9}{4}

We didn't not use 2 as because variable x cannot be equal to 2 as division by zero is not defined.
