3x-2/4-2x+3/3=2/3-x

= 3x-0.5-2x+1 = 2/3-x

= x+0.5 = 2/3-x

= x+1/2 = 2/3-x

by transposing

x+x = 2/3 - 1/2

by taking lcm

2x = (6+3)/6

2x = 9/6

2x=3/2

2x=1.5

x = 1.5/2

x = 15/20

x = 3/4

x = 0.75

sohum2002pokemon: your transposition is wrong...
sohum2002pokemon: I was just wondering why our answers were different...

Answer:

The easiest way in my opinion will be to find the LCM from both sides and then cross multiply.

3(3x-2)-4(2x+3)              2-3x

----------------------    =    -------------

        12                            3

Cross multiplying, we get:-

9(3x-2)-12(2x+3) = 12(2-3x)

27x-18-24x-36 = 24-36x

39x = 78

x = 2

Hope this helps...

sohum2002pokemon: Thanks fr the tag!!!
Aishna005: ❤❤
Aishna005: Well.. I was wondering how did we get 78 on RHS
sohum2002pokemon: Ok. In lhs i have -18 and -36. In rhs i have 24. Sending lhs to rhs, i get- 18+36+24=78
Aishna005: Okk...
