a = (5 \times 10) + (5 \times 10) = 100 {cm}^{2}

b) \: total \: area = area \: of \: triangle + area \: of \: parallelogram

a = ( \frac{1}{2}  \times12 \times 6) + (6 \times 12) = 108 {cm}^{2}
