Answer:

given,

a(b+c)=ab+ac

here a=-1/4,b=3/8andc=1/8

let LHS

a(b+c)

-1/4(3/8+1/8)

-1/4(4/8)

-1/4(1/2)

-1/8

Let RHS

-1/4×3/8+(-1/4×1/8)

-3/32-1/32

-4/32

-1/8

here LHS=RHS

 \huge\boxed{\boxed{\fcolorbox{white}{pink}{Answer}}}

Given:

 a= \frac{(-1)}{4}

 b= \frac{3}{8}

 c= \frac{1}{8}

To verify:

 a×(b+c)=a×b+a×c

Solution:

  a×(b+c)=a×b+a×c

 \mathcal\orange{Substituting\: the\: values}

 \frac {(-1)}{4}(\frac{3}{8}+\frac{1}{8})= \frac {(-1)}{4}× \frac{3}{8}+ \frac {(-1)}{4}×\frac{1}{8}

 \frac {(-1)}{4}(\frac{1}{2})= \frac{(-3)}{32}-\frac{1}{32}

 \frac{(-1)}{8}= \frac{(-1)}{8}

L.H.S =R.H.S

Hence Verified

Hope it helps úh
