Well Actually, Monarchy and Republic are different.

Explanation:

Monarchy is a form of government that is headed by a monarch ( ruler ) inherits her / his position and is not elected by the people .

There are two types of Monarchial governments - constitutional Monarchy and absolute Monarchy. In a constitutional Monarchy the powers of the Monarch are mostly ceremonial and are defined by the constitution which is framed by an elected parliament. Eg - Bhutan, Japan and England.

Absolute Monarchy - In a absolute Monarchy , the Monarch is both the head of the state and the government. He she exercise supreme power over the country. Eg - Saudhi Arabia and Oman .

On the other hand Republic is a type of government where the government is elected by the people and for the people. There is no Monarchy system or dictatorship in the country.
