If a signal gene is showing any type of minor mutation, then it may result in a abnormal chromosome and genetic disorder. So everything should be well controlled and organized in our body.

One such example would be Down syndrome.

Disorders that occur due to numerical changes in chromosomes.

It is disorder arising due to chromosome abnormality. It is characterized by the presence of 47 chromosomes instead of 46. Infants with this disorder have an extra chromosome with the 21st pair in every cell. The children suffering through Down syndrome  are usually mentally retarded and have short life span.. Symptoms include short height, short wide neck, flat nose, short fingers, scanty hair, single horizontal crease on palm, and life expectancy of avg about 12 to 20 years.
